A Tranquil Escape to Double Tree by Hilton Resort, Marjan Island – RAK ..

It was Love at first sight for me in Dubai. From the moment I left the airport – Dubai was One Big Wow – Right from the beaches and water parks and to experience more of the great quality accommodation, food and service that make Dubai such a stand-out destination. This is a little tricky because much of it is personal taste. There are some hugely luxurious coastal resort hotels for holidaymakers but there are also thousands of options within the different areas of the city and on The Creek. Well, it’s been Seven Years gorgeously spent here and hands down and I

Is located on the first man-made island in Ras Al Khaimah, inside the clear waters of the Arabian Gulf.

Well, wondering where to go during Eid? … Stay-cation, lap up some sun, sand and surf – Isn’t a bad idea to utilize the long weekend and the best is to have company – An Amazing One indeed.. So, here it is – Double Tree by Hilton provides an unparalleled for any one thats looking for an amazing break to unwind oneself.

So grab this opportunity and embrace a whole new level of self-indulgence as this place is indeed a steal deal for all you lovely people, so without any further delay treat yourselves with some heavenly goodness and book a luxurious getaway located just over an hour’s drive from Dubai.

Double Tree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island is the first resort to open on the prestigious Marjan Island – A cluster of four man-made islands set in an upscale area in Ras Al Khaimah near Al Hamra and has been ranked as a top three 5 star properties.

Life here in Dubai can sometimes be a bit too overwhelming and chaotic, especially when one is tremendously busy with our monotonous work and every schedule, amidst such circumstances we and a group of friends like family decided to experience a far more tranquil, soothing and peaceful getaway for the long EID weekend. Since we had kids and after a lot of research boom – Double Tree by Hilton was the best decision made further aiding to an unforgettable experience.

– From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were in complete Awe and was literally blown away by the interiors and decor. Well keeping up with Dubai’s tradition the lobby of this hotel is grand. The opulence and refinement projected by Hilton hotels is something that I’m profoundly in awe of and pointless to say I still reminisce the splendor of the resort.

Accessibility around the resort is to the T as lifts and ramps promptly available throughout that indeed made it pretty hassle free as we could go wherever we wanted to, of course considering the kids having their sugar rush stamina all day. Even just walking around the gardens can be an amazing and relaxing experiencing the most beautiful sunrises!

Upon our arrival we were warmly welcomed with their signature and yummy chocolate chip cookie at check in, that worked pretty well with the kids as we all know the smallest of things done gets them thrilled and excited to just another level – that’s the most incredible thing of being a kid. We were soon escorted to our respective rooms while giving a little tour of the property in their cute buggies.

– Our experience starts with a short golf cart trip to our villa room (yes, often the highlight of the journey for small kids!).  The resort is made up of the main hotel building, with twin and double rooms, then there are 10 separate villa buildings each with 15 larger rooms – at 49 sqm this is a great size to fit extra bedding for the larger family like ours.

The rooms are all beautifully appointed inside with all the little touches you expect of a 5 star resort. The sofa bed in our room comfortably fit two small children, but if your kids prefer not to share a bed, roller beds can easily be wheeled in too. We didn’t get to see inside a smaller room in the main hotel but we are told the maximum you would comfortably fit in these rooms is 4 (2 adults, 2 children).

The outdoor kids play area is quite extensive. There’s plenty of variety in equipment to suit a wide range of age groups to aid their climbing, jumping, sliding, balancing, swinging – dare I say better than most of the public play parks I’ve come across! It is partially shaded so the Lill Munchkins can still have a lot of fun without the hindrance of the midday sun.

Well, the most thrilling things that the kids drew our attention to is the new  Pirate Ship Aqua Zone …  Kids of all ages (though ideally designed for the 3-12 age group) will really enjoy this new installation and hands down it was amazingly built around the shape of a Pirate Ship.

Security was amazing, as they were carefully policing the use of footwear on the special aqua zone surface (spongy and it doesn’t burn your feet – genius!) and lifeguards are manning each slide for safety.

This is the first time where we as parents felt safe to leave our kids on their own and get going with our own adult chilling. They were kept very well engaged by the child care staff doing coloring and crafting activities as well as face painting.

Although there is no structured kids activity programs kids can be signed in and out whenever you please.  During our stay it was not overly busy and our kids got a lot of one-on-one attention and came out beaming.

They opened as early as 9am until 9pm on weekends so parents can even squeeze in a dinner at.  Private babysitting is available in room if your tots head off to bed earlier. Now – Isn’t that like – Cherry on the Cake !!!

splish splashing in the pool ignoring the whole zoo that might possibly been strolling in their lill tummy screaming for food – All of this will certainly be ignored to spend as much as possible time in the pool .The main pool is brilliant with plenty of deck chair frontage (yes even with a heavy German contingent we could still nab plenty of real estate for a chair each, even after 9am!) and perfectly designed for the kids with a step that runs around the outside of the main pool; the Globetrotters love this as they can safely play on the edge and still touch the bottom.

The main pool is quite extensive and snakes around the gardens with a bridge crossing and a poolside bar (though not a bar in the pool – Mr Globetrotters favorite set up!).  In addition, there is a shallow, shaded kids pool area and there’s another large pool located in front of the main hotel lobby, though this one was mostly frequented by adults.

There is also a 450m stretch of beautiful white sand beach packed with deck chairs and umbrellas, though I must admit with all the activities around the pool we never made it down to the beach – that and my sand phobia…

Even though we visited this place at a – Peak Time ( EID holidays) that was on a full capacity weekend, never did we once felt this area became overcrowded throughout the day, queuing at peak times was minimal.

Well, most of the time opting for all-inclusive packages, I groan at the thought of three meals a day with basically the same stuff being monotonously served time and time again – It can be a major deterrent trust me.

indeed was like – A breath of fresh air with indoor and outdoor seating that were gorgeously decorated and of course not forgetting the vast array of meal choices.

It literally made each one of us feel that there was a sufficient range to chose from with kid – friendly being as an option to suit our fussy little eaters.  The dessert of course a real treat for them.

Catering to a large international audience, they also have a ready supply of pork and alcohol products available despite being a Muslim country.

Oh, well well well – Did I just forget to mention about this yummy treat at the beginning… Jeeezzzzz !!!!

this has indeed been one of the best resorts we have stayed as a whole family and more importantly – Enjoyed!!!.  When the kids are happy and engaged, you can finally let yourself unwind too.

Knowing that not only were there options available that the kids would enjoy, we had confidence in their supervision and they felt independent to explore without us.

Highly recommend this place for family, or friends as a perfect getaway. This is ultimate Brunch & Stay goals and is great value for money!

Extra points on their food quality, service & to the ambiance. An experience that will leave one flabbergasted with their picturesque property and you are bound to return.

One of our best get away experience in UAE and that too at the most gorgeous property in Ras Al Khaimah.

Would rate our experience 10/10 !!!!!
